A protection dog is deployed in a specific environment. It patrols a specific perimeter. It responds to specific people, vehicles, and scenarios. Training that takes place anywhere other than that environment introduces a gap between what the dog has rehearsed and what the dog will encounter.
That gap costs performance. And it is entirely avoidable.
Every Vonceltic session is conducted where the dog lives and works. Scenarios are built around your actual property. The dog rehearses the real thing.
Territory drives performance. A protection dog is more focused, more confident, and more reliable on familiar ground. Training at home builds the behaviour that will actually be needed, in the place it will actually be needed.
Scenarios reflect reality. A training session at your property can be structured around your gates, your driveway, your entry points, your family's movements. The dog is prepared for what it will actually face, not a version of it constructed on someone else's land.
Some clients cannot travel unnoticed. For clients whose movements attract attention, transporting a protection dog to a training facility creates unnecessary exposure. A home visit removes that entirely.
A protection dog needs consistent work. Without regular, structured sessions a dog's standard drifts. Keeping that work at home means it fits the client's schedule, and the dog stays sharp in the environment it needs to perform in.

What we offer
All service formats are delivered on-site at your property. Pricing is not published and is not standardised. Every enquiry receives an individual quote based on your location, your dog, your requirements, and the structure of the engagement you need.
Single-session visits for maintenance, assessment, or problem-solving. Suited to clients who have an existing maintenance programme in place and require periodic top-up work, or those who are beginning a structured programme and wish to assess the format before committing to a longer arrangement.
Extended sessions for more comprehensive work, covering multiple disciplines, multiple dogs, or complex maintenance requirements that cannot be completed in a standard visit. Half-day and full-day structures are also appropriate for properties with more extensive perimeters or additional handlers who require instruction alongside the dog.
A structured monthly programme, with regular scheduled visits, ensures a protection dog remains at operational standard throughout the year. Retainer arrangements are recommended for clients with dogs in active deployment, maintaining drive, sharpness, and reliability on a consistent basis rather than addressing decline after it becomes apparent.
For clients who want structured, documented maintenance on a yearly basis without committing to monthly visits. Each refresher covers a full assessment of where the dog is, remedial work where needed, and advancement work suited to the dog's age and current demands. Works as a standalone arrangement or alongside a retainer.
Vonceltic operates anywhere in the United Kingdom. Travel and fuel costs are calculated as part of each individual quote. For distant or overnight engagements, accommodation costs are included in the quoted price. All costs are presented clearly and agreed before any engagement begins. There are no hidden charges.
